Among the diversified features of our area of interest, i decided to focus on a prominent element representative of the Valle d´itria, as the local calcareous rock. Pictures have been taken either in a cave, either in the countryside in the nearby of Locorotondo. The project´s name describes the flesh as a metaphore of the stone taken away from the body of mother nature. Nature´s sacrifice is symbolic of mineral mining. The nature´s body is wounded by scars. This is about blood and guts. This is about the consistency of the body and of the soul sorrounding and living in it: the industry. The mining creates a subtle white layer, covering the near landscape.
